Multiplication

We are familiar with the process of multiplication. We have done the
multiplication of the smaller numbers but we do not deal with small

numbers in our day-to-day life. Here, we will learn how multiplication of
               the larger numbers is done.

Multiplication of larger numbers is not different from the multiplication
               of smaller numbers.

               Example 9: Multiply 4325 by 234.

Solution: Also, it can be written as:

                                              4 3 2 5 → Multiplicand 4 3 2 5

                                              × 2 3 4 → Multiplier (200 + 30 + 4) × 2 3 4

                                           1 7 3 0 0 ← (4325 × 4) 1 7 3 0 0

                                        1 2 9 7 5 0 ← (4325 × 30) 1 2 9 7 5

                                     + 8 6 5 0 0 0 ← (4325 × 200) + 8 6 5 0

                                     1 0 1 2 0 5 0 → Product 1 0 1 2 0 5 0

               Lattice Method

               Thus, 4325 × 234 = 1012050

                                                           4 3 2 5

                                                          1 1 2 1
                                                        0 0 0 1 1 2
                                                            8 6 4 0

                                                         1 0 0 1
                                                                                               3
                                                            2 9 6 5

                                                         1 1 0 2
                                                                                               4
                                                            6 2 8 0

                                      1 0 1 2 0 5 0
