Many of you must have observed the sky in the morning when

you go to school.
Have you observed the night sky?

Is it the same as the morning sky?

Are you curious to explore the night sky?

SPACE

e unlimited place outside the Earth’s atmosphere is called space. All heavenly
bodies such as the stars, the sun, the moon and planets are parts of space. Persons

who travel into space are called astronauts. e means of transport which takes
them into space is called a spaceship.

STARS
We see many stars on a clear night. ese stars are massive balls of extremely

hot gases. ey are very big and bright. ey look small because they are far

away from us. ey have heat and shine by their own light.
