Properties of Subtraction

Property 1: Let us subtract 0 from 7536.

7536 – 0 = 7536.

We get back the same number 7536.

When we subtract 0 from a number, the difference is the

number itself.

Let A be any number then

A – 0 = A

Property 2: Let us subtract 6234 and 6234.

6234 – 6234 = 0. We get 0

When a number is subtracted from the same number, the

difference is 0 (zero).

Let A be any number then

A – A = 0
