Preparation of a Spinner: Make a big circle on a cardboard.

Divide the circle into ten sectors as shown. Write 0 to 9 in 8 9

these sectors. Then fix a pointer with the help of a nail in

the centre. Your spinner is ready!

Method: Provide a set of materials including a sheet of paper,

a pencil and a spinner for every two teams.
1. Both teams will make place value grid on their sheet of papers for

making numbers and addition.
2. One team starts the game by spinning the pointer. Each player spins

once and write his/her outcome in any place of first row.

3. Similarly, the players of other team spin the pointer and make a 4-digit
number.

4. Again, the first team makes another number in the bottom row.
5. The second team also makes another number in the bottom row.

6. After framing the two 4-digits numbers, both teams find their sums.
The team with the bigger sum will be the winner of that round. (Please

note that the sum will not exceed the number 9999.)

7. Restart the game for the next round.
