Property 2: Let us add 3167, 1384 and 3295.

[3167 + 1384] + 3295 = 4551 + 3295 = 7846

3167 + [1384 + 3295] = 3167 + 4679 = 7846

We again get the same sum in both the cases.

So, we can change the grouping of three numbers when

finding their sum.

[A + B] + C = A + [B + C]

Property 3: Let us add 3587 and 0. Let us add 0 and 3587.

Thus 3587 + 0 = 3587 and 0 + 3587 = 3587

We see that when 0 is added to a number or a number is
added to zero, the sum is the number itself.

Let A be any number then:

A + 0 = A and 0 + A = A
