Long Division with Remainder
It is not necessary that we will always get 0 in the end. Sometimes
we end up with a number smaller than the number we are dividing
with. This left-over number is called remainder.
Example 2: Divide 228 by 7 using long division and find the
quotient and the remainder.
Solution: 3 2
7 2 2 8
– 2 1
1 8
– 1 4 Quotient = 32, remainder = 4.
