Kilogram

We use kilograms to weigh heavier objects. In the short form, kilogram
is written as kg. A kilogram is a larger unit of mass (weight).

                                              1000 g = 1 kg

                  A cauliflower 4 mangoes A watermelon
is about 1 kg. are about 1 kg. is about 3 kg.

                                             Measuring weight

We use weights of different masses and a measuring balance to weigh

        an object.

        Some common weights are:

         50 g 100 g 200 g 500 g 1 kg 2 kg

                                                                                                 5 kg

        Some common measuring balances are:

To weigh something, we put things on one pan and weights on the

other and see whether the bar is horizontal or the pointer is vertical.
