Warm Up

The train shown below was introduced in 2019 as part of the Make in

India initiative. It is also known as Train 18. Can you name it?

Transport

To visit a place, early humans had to walk for long distances on foot. They
had to carry loads on their head or shoulders. Later, they trained animals

for riding and carrying goods. The invention of the wheel completely
changed the system of transportation.

Humans built carts fitted with wheels. Initially, they pulled these carts
themselves and later on, animals like horses or bulls were used. This

system of transport continued for thousands of years. The logs of wood
floating on water, helped them develop boats. These modes of transport

are still in use in many countries of the world.
