EXERCISE 7.4
A. Observe the figure given alongside and identify the following.
1. P 2. PN L
3. LM 4. MQN
5. MLN 6. PMQNP P
B. Draw a rough sketch of a circle. On it, mark and name
N
the following.
Q M
1. a chord 2. minor segment 3. a diameter
4. semicircle 5. a sector
C. State True or False:
1. Any number of radii can be drawn in a circle.
2. Only one diameter can be drawn in a circle.
3. If the diameter of a circle is 15 cm, its radius will be 7.5 cm.
4. The region bounded by two radii and an arc is called the segment of
the circle.
5. Every chord divides a circle into two semicircles.
6. The longest chord of a circle is its diameter.
7. Concentric circles have common radius.
