Ms Anita Sharma is a Science teacher of class 5. She wants students to know

the importance of seeds for plants.

Most plants grow from seeds. Let us know how seeds look from inside. The outer hard
covering of a seed is called seed coat. Below seed coat, there are two seed leaves called
cotyledons. When we split open seed leaves, we find a baby plant with a tiny shoot and
                 a tiny root.

Teacher, why Seed coat protects the seed from
is seed coat rough surfaces. So, it is hard.
                  so hard?

seed leaves fat? Seed leaves store food for

baby plant, so, they are fat.
