STEM ACTIVITY 1

To learn measurement, and ratio.

1. Take a stick and tapped
it vertically with a glass
bottle as shown in the
figure.

2. Put the glass bottle with
stick at the ground in open

space, where the sun light
can reach easily.

3. Measure the height (say H) of the stick at morning, noon and afternoon.

4. Now, measure the height of the shadow (say S) at morning, noon and
afternoon.

5. Write the heights of the stick and shadow in the table given below.
