Warm Up • Analysing

The family of the sun having eight planets is called the solar
system. Can you name the planet having rings around it in
the given picture?

STARS

Have you ever wondered what the tiny shining

objects in the night sky are? The shining and
twinkling objects in the night sky are stars. A
star is a huge ball of hot gases which gives out

heat and light. The stars are not seen during

the daytime due to the bright glare of the sun.
The sun is also a star. It is the closest star to
the Earth. Hence, it appears very big. Some

stars are even bigger than our sun, but we see

them small because they are far away from us.
Stars live for millions of years.
