Drawing a Line Segment

To draw a line segment of the given length, say 5.6 cm, we follow these
steps:

� Place the ruler on the paper and mark a point M at 0 cm.

� Then, see the mark of 5 cm and take 6 small divisions after it. Mark

the end point N.
� Now, join the points M and N along the edge of the ruler.
