MATHS LAB ACTIVITY • Experiential Learning
SHOPPING-SHOPPING
Aim: To develop the knowledge of buying and selling things
Materials: Play money and different toys or stationery.
Note: Play in a group of 5–6 students.
Method:
1. One student from each group plays the role
of a shopkeeper who sells the items and
prepares a cash memo of their bills.
2. Other students of the groups play the role of
customers who buy different items and guess
how much money they have to pay. Check
their guess when the bills are prepared. Pay
the amount using play money and get back
if need.
3. After some time, any other student from the
group will play the role of the shopkeeper.
