3. THE TAILOR AND THE MICE
Robin was very fond of listening to stories. His parents and Grandma
often read them out to him before he went to bed.

Robin’s summer vacation had just started. On Friday night, his mother

read two stories written by Beatrix Potter. She read ‘The Tale of Two
Bad Mice’. She also read ‘The Story of Miss Moppet’ for him. After

listening to the stories, Robin went off to sleep.

The next evening, on Saturday, Robin’s father read two more stories,
both written by Beatrix Potter. He read out ‘The Tale of Jimmy Tiptoes’.

Robin enjoyed listening to it. Then he also read ‘The Tailor of Gloucester’.
Robin fell asleep after the story was over. On Sunday night, Grandma

was very happy to read ‘The Tale of Mr Jeremy Fisher’ to Robin. When
the little boy asked her to tell another story, she was glad. Grandma read

out ‘The Story of a Fierce Bad Rabbit’.
Robin enjoyed listening to all the stories. He loved stories written by

Beatrix Potter and many other writers too.

                                                  4. THE NEW NEIGHBOURS
Sahil, Tanay, Nimi and Dhruv are good friends. They are also animal

lovers. Each one of them has a pet dog. The four friends take good
care of their dogs. Each one gives the pet dog its favourite food in the
                   morning before going to school.

Sahil gives bread and milk to his pet dog.

Tanay gives his dog biscuits and milk.

Nimi gives a bone and an egg to her pet dog.

Dhruv gives his dog a chapati and chicken.

After eating their food, the dogs feel very happy. In the evenings the
four friends play with their pets in the park.
