Imagine you are the poet. Now, describe your neighbour’s dog, which has been written
about in the poem. Write a paragraph of about 6-8 sentences and describe your
neighbour’s pet. Give details such as its appearance and behaviour. Also, mention how
you feel about it.

A. Do you want to have a pet dog which you can keep in the classroom? Sounds exciting!
So, let’s get going! Work with your partner and help each other.

Things needed
 A paper packet/bag  Black paper  Red and black sketch pens

 Two big black bindis  Glue  A pair of scissors

Your hand puppet is ready! Give a name to your pet dog and show it to your partner.
Introduce your pet to your partner's pet dog. Have fun!

Take a paper bag/packet that can Fold the black paper and
fit into your hand. cut out two ears.

Use glue to paste them, as shown. Paste the two black bindis for the eyes.
Use the black sketch pen to draw
the nose, as shown, and colour
the cheeks red using the red sketch pen.

B. Your dog is very happy to meet your classmates. How will it bark to show its happiness?
Imitate the sounds it will make in the class.
