We hear about accidents on news channels and read about them in newspapers.

An accident is an unfortunate, unexpected and unintentional incident. Accidents
occur due to carelessness or because we simply do not follow safety rules. Accidents

can be avoided if we learn to follow certain safety rules.

Safety rules while on the road

Accidents on the road occur because often traffic rules are not followed. Some

traffic rules to be followed for our safety are:

 Always walk on the footpath.
 In case there is no footpath, walk on the right side of the road.
