Neck: It is the part of a tooth between the crown and the root. It is covered by

               the gum line.

A tooth is made up of three parts—Enamel, Crown
               dentine and pulp. Dentine

Enamel: It is the outer hard cover of a tooth. Neck Pulp

                                                                                                                Jaw bone
chewing. Enamel is the hardest substance found
               in our body. Root Root

Dentine: It is a yellow bone-like layer present
below enamel. It supports the enamel.

Pulp: It is the soft part of tooth that has blood Structure of a tooth
vessels and nerves. The nerves are connected to the gum through a hole in the

root. These nerves help us feel a toothache.

                   1. The set of teeth in the mouth of a two-year old child.
                   2. The part of a tooth that has nerves.

                   3. Teeth used for tearing meat.

                   4. The hardest part of a tooth.
                   5. The part of tooth below the gum line.

                                                      CARE OF TEETH

Teeth are important for us. We should take good care of our teeth to save them
from decaying. Very small bits of food remain stuck in between the teeth after

eating. These food bits can cause the growth of bacteria. Bacteria first attack the
enamel, then the dentine and finally the pulp. When bacteria reach the nerves
within the pulp, they cause pain. Tooth decay results in bad breath, cavities,

toothache, bleeding gums and indigestion. Sugars are the main part of food that
               promote tooth decay.

We should eat foods that contain a lot of calcium and vitamin C. They help make
our teeth strong and prevent tooth decay. Foods like milk, cheese and cottage
