(a) 675, 25 (b) 124, 12
Solution: (a) To check whether 675 is a multiple of 25, we divide
675 by 25.
2 7
25 6 7 5
– 5 0
1 7 5
– 1 7 5
0 Here, there is no remainder.
So, 675 is a multiple of 25.
(b) To check whether 124 is a multiple of 12, we divide
124 by 12.
1 0
12 1 2 4
