Look at this man, looks quite tall.

Can you guess his height?

Do you know how tall or heavy
you are?

We need to measure many things
in our day-to-day life.

You have seen small plants growing bigger and small babies growing taller. Even
you have grown taller since you were in Class 2.

When you go to a grocery shop to buy some sugar, you ask the shopkeeper to

give a xed quantity of sugar. What will happen if you ask the shopkeeper to

give you some sugar?

And what if the tailor makes your dress without

taking the correct size of your body parts?
So, we need to measure things accurately. We

measure different things in different ways.

We measure fruits, vegetables and grocery items
