I am so hungry. (He looks at the cave again.) This is a big

cave. I am sure some animal lives here. I can wait here for the

animal. I want to eat the animal. I should go inside. (He goes

inside the cave.)

Jackal (enters): Now I have finally reached my cave. I want

to take some rest after a long day. (Looks at the marks of the

lion’s paws and talks to himself.) I think a lion is inside the

cave. He will eat me if I go in. I have an idea! Let me call my
friends—the parrot, the deer and the elephant also.

(The jackal leaves the stage and comes back with his friends—

Parrot, Elephant and Deer. They stand near the cave.)

Jackal: Hello, cave! I am standing outside. Can I come in?

(He waits for some time.)

Jackal: My friend Parrot is also here. He wants to tell you
something.

Parrot: Hello, cave. You are so big. There is no other cave

in this forest. Let my friend Jackal go in. (They wait for some

more time.)
