What is Geometry?
The study of shapes and spaces is called geometry.

All these are made of three base shapes: point, line and plane. Let
us study points and lines now.
Point
Keep your pencil’s tip on your notebook. Make a fine dot
on it. This dot is called a point.
We denote a point using a capital letter of the English alphabet.
For example, A X

We read the above as Point A, Point P, Point X, etc.
