house should be written about in ‘Woman’s Torch’ by Miss Manes. She
also wants her photographs with Mr Bott, pictures of her house and Chin
Chin (her pet dog) be printed in the magazine.

Miss Manes, a representative of Woman’s Torch, is invited by Mrs Bott.
She only focuses on finding details about Mrs Bott’s house so that she
can write about it in her series on ‘Haunted English Country Houses’. Will
she find something worthwhile? Will Mrs Bott be able to convince her
                     about her house being haunted?

Meanwhile, William is also up to some invention.

                     What is it?

Let us read and find out…

The outlaws walked along the road. Henry had said,
“This time next week, we shall be back

at our school.” William said, “The way
we spend our lives going to school

is awful, I think. It never gives
us a chance to do anything great,

               friends.”

“What do you want to do great?”

               asked Douglas, with interest.

               “Lots of things,” said William.

“I want to be like Napoleon or representative someone who
someone like that. But I never get a chance.” speaks or does something

                                                                                       officially for a group or
“Oh, you could not be like Napoleon,” company
objected Ginger. haunted a place where ghosts
                                                                                       often appear
“He was a soldier. You cannot be a soldier, awful horrible

because there isn’t a war on.”

Note: Napoleon Bonaparte was a French general and statesman. He also ruled

the French Empire as Emperor of the French from 1804 to 1814. He led a
series of military campaigns across Europe at the end of the 18th century and
                  beginning of the 19th century.
