We know We can say

1 is at tens place place value of 1 is 10

2 is at hundreds place place value of 2 is 200

3 is at thousands place place value of 3 is 3000

We can expand 3215 using place value as

3000 + 200 + 10 + 5

Or 3 thousands + 2 hundreds + 1 ten + 5 ones
