HUMAN BODY—A WONDERFUL MACHINE

Our body has many parts. Each body part has its special function. Sometimes,
two or more body parts work together to do a special function.

Each body part is made up of tiny structures called cells. e
size of a cell is so small that we cannot see it with the naked
eye. Hundreds of cells can t into a small dot. Cells of the same

type together form a tissue. Di erent types of tissues make an

organ. Many organs work together and form an organ system.

Organ systems are also called body systems. ere are many
organ systems in our body that function together like a machine. A cell
