We get jute and cotton from plants. We get medicines from plants.

We get jute from the jute plant. It is used to make cloth,

sacks, rope and mats.

We get medicines like penicillin and quinine from some
plants.

Tulsi leaves are useful in treating cold and cough. Neem and

mint also give us medicines.

Rubber is made from the latex of the rubber tree.

Latex is a milky white liquid. We use rubber for
making tyres.

Plants give us other things also. Perfumes are made

from sweet-smelling flowers like jasmine and rose.
