A plant has many parts. They are root, stem, leaves, flower

and fruits.

Let us know all about them.

Root: It grows under the ground. It fixes the plant to the
soil. It takes water and minerals from the soil.

Stem: It grows above the ground. It carries food and water

to all parts of the plant.

Leaf: It is the flat green part of the plant. It makes food for

the plant.

Flower: It is the most beautiful part of the plant. It changes
into a fruit.

Fruit: It is a fleshy part of the plant which grows from the

flower. It has seeds inside it.

Seed: It is found inside the fruit. A seed grows into a baby

plant.

Remember

 Plants are of different kinds such as trees, shrubs, herbs,
climbers and creepers.

 Big and tall plants are called trees.

 Thorny plants have thorns on them.

 A plant has many parts.
