Handprints
Put your left hand (if you use right hand in
writing) on a sheet of paper. Take a pencil
or a sketch pen in right hand and trace your
handprint by sketching alongside.
In a similar way, take the handprints of your
other family members and ask your friends
of your class to recognise whose handprints
they are.
MATHS LAB ACTIVITY • Experiential learning
Aim: To obtain plane shapes using straight lines through activity
Materials: Broomsticks, a glue and a chart paper
Method:
1. Take four broomsticks of equal length and
glue them on a sheet of chart paper in such
a manner that they would form a square.
Here, 2 vertical and 2 horizontal sticks form
a square.
2. Take another stick of slightly bigger length and
glue it as a slant line to make two triangles.
3. Further, use 1 more stick to show four
triangles.
Apply this method to get different shapes like two rectangles, four
squares, etc., and show this chart paper in your class.
