Addition Property of Zero • Logical Reasoning

There were no birds on a branch of tree.

Number of birds is 0.

Four birds come and sit on the tree

branch.

How many birds on the branch now?

0 + 4 = 4 or 4 + 0 = 4

Zero means nothing.

When we add zero to a number we add nothing to that number.

So the number remains same.

0 + number = same number.

Also when we add nothing to a number we get back the same number.

Number + 0 = same number.

1 + 0 = 6 + 0 = 0 + 1 = 0 + 6 =

2 + 0 = 7 + 0 = 0 + 2 = 0 + 7 =

3 + 0 = 8 + 0 = 0 + 3 = 0 + 8 =

4 + 0 = 9 + 0 = 0 + 4 = 0 + 9 =

5 + 0 = 0 + 5 =

0 + 0 = 0. If nothing is added to nothing we get nothing.
