Covid-19 pandemic. Ajo Jose is a Nursing Officer in the
emergency department of Dr RML Hospital in New Delhi.
He has been a part of several humanitarian and health

missions in the past, including the Nepal earthquake
in 2015 and the Kerala floods in 2018. He is one of the
million health workers who have been at the forefront
of the Covid-19 response and played an active part as Ajo Jose

a part of the medical team sent to the coronavirus-hit
city of Wuhan in China to evacuate Indian nationals.

Asmol Chacko, a Staff Nurse at Kottayam Medical
College, Kerala, worked fearlessly even when taking
care of patients critically ill with Covid-19.

Asmol had to be in quarantine after she took care of
an elderly couple who tested Covid-19 positive. For Asmol Chacko

her, working for the greater good of the public is very
important.

Pratima Naik works in King Edward VII Memorial Hospital
in Mumbai as a Nursing Matron. She worked tirelessly
for patients, especially those affected by Covid-19.
She also trained nursing teams to deal with Covid-19

patients. She stayed away from her family for a long Pratima Naik
