 The person, animal, thing or place we talk about in a sentence is called the subject
of the sentence. It may consist of one or more than one word. The subject may be a
                  noun or pronoun.

                 Example: She saw many stars.

 All that is said about the subject of a sentence is called the predicate of the sentence.
The underlined words in sentences 1 and 2 are predicates.

                  thing.
