1. BHOLARAM’S MAGIC TOY REPAIR SHOP
A teddy bear is a soft toy that looks like a bear. Children also call teddy bears

‘teddies’. This is their popular name. Children are very fond of playing with them.
They come in different sizes and colours.
Teddy bears are one of the most liked toys by children. Grown-up people also like

teddy bears as gifts. The world’s first teddy bear museum was built in England
in 1884. Today, there are many teddy bear museums in the world. Some famous

names of teddy bears are Winnie the Pooh and Paddington.

2. THE CAVE THAT COULD TALK
A man used to sell caps. He travelled to different places to sell them. He carried

the caps in a big bag. One day, he was tired. He sat under a tree to take rest. There
were monkeys on the tree. After some time, the capseller fell asleep.

The monkeys came down from the tree. They took out the caps from the bag. The
monkeys put on the caps and were happy as they sat on the branches. When the
capseller got up, he found the bag empty. He saw the monkeys on the tree wearing

the caps. He got an idea. He threw some small stones at the monkeys. The monkeys
copied his actions. They threw the caps down. The capseller got all the caps back.

He went away happily.

3. A GREAT TRIP TO NEW DELHI

Parul and her family love to travel. They sit together one day to make plans for a
holiday. They talk about the place where each one wants to go to.

1. Father of Parul wants to go to a sea beach. So, he wants to go to Goa.
2. Mother of Parul wants to visit Kolkata.

3. Grandmother of Parul thinks that everyone should go to Mumbai.
4. Grandfather of Parul wants to go to a hill station. So, he wants the family to go
to Shimla.

5. Parul also wants to go to a hill station. She loves the hills and wants to go for
horse-riding. She wants to go to Nainital.

Finally, Parul and her family members decide to talk about it again after a few days.
