After a few days, Papa and Mama get a new fish tank for
Nita. It is World Children’s Day on November 20. Mama says,
“Nita, here is a very special gift for you.” Papa and Mama say,
“Happy Children’s Day, child.” They smile and hug her. Nita
jumps with joy. They keep the fish tank on a table. Nita says,
“Thank you. There is a story about World Children’s Day in
my story book.”
Papa and Mama smile at Nita, “Children are so important for
all of us. They spread joy all around them.”
There are two fishes in
the tank—a blue and
a red one. They swim
in the water. “Did you
get them from the sea?”
says Nita.
“No, from a pet shop,”
says Papa.
“Mama, I want to call
the red fish ‘Neemo’. And the blue fish ‘Dorie’. They are my
friends.”
“The names are so good,” say Papa and Mama.
Nita brings Bunny near the fish tank. She says, “Look, Bunny.
We have two new friends. Today is World Children’s Day.”
Papa says, “Yes, every child should be happy. It is a special
day.” “Oh yes, Papa. A big 'Thank you' again."
Mama says, “The fishes are hungry. Now, let us give them
food.” Nita looks at the fishes, “What do they eat, Mama?”
